Nollywood actress, Bimbo Akintola, who recently featured in the widely talked about ‘93 Days’ movie which was shot to enlighten the public on how the dreaded Ebola virus came to Nigeria and how it was curtailed, says the movie was the most challenging since her career.
Bimbo who played the role of Dr. Adadevoh, stated that the movie was very challenging because she had to prove stubborn which she believed was the way the late doctor did and was able to motivate others to stay and save other lives.
She also pointed out that the storyline of the movie was actually a great one and appreciated the production team for coming up with such concept and not allowing other countries to come tell the Nigerian story.
“I had to show her stubbornness because if she was not stubborn, the story would have been totally different and those are what I tried to channel; show people who she was, her ideals and beliefs. It is my most challenging role. I think it is extremely important that we tell our own stories. Other people cannot tell it like we would do. I am tired of people telling our story for us, so when I was approached with the script, I was very excited. Then it dawned on me after reading the script and realising what she did, I began to shake. I began to have nightmares. She was such an amazing woman,” she said.
