Nollywood actress, Shirley Igwe, seems to have developed thick skin to many negative reports about her and her craft.

The actress, who is gradually breaking boundaries in the make-belief industry despite being an aide to the Governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha, recently explained that rumour that she has been scarce in movies lately is totally untrue.

Shirley told GistmyNaija.com that those saying such do not watch Nigerian films, which she said is the reason for their ignorance.

“They haven’t seen them because they don’t want to see them. Everything we do in life is our choice. Do you know some people today still haven’t seen the movie ‘Avenger’, ‘Avatar,’ etc. I haven’t even seen the Hollywood hit series ‘Empire’ and I know a lot of people haven’t seen it too.

“After all, there are still some people in America that haven’t heard any of Beyonce’s songs; some will even claim they haven’t heard her name before,” she said.
